Privacy policy

This policy covers residualfirst.com, the recruiting site for the Residual First independent sales agent program, operated by Wholesale Payments ("we", "us").

Notice at collection

When you submit the application form we collect the following categories of personal information, for the purposes listed beside them. We collect nothing else, and we collect it only from you.

• Identifiers — your name, email address, and phone number. Used to identify you and contact you about your application.
• Geographic information — the city and state you enter. Used to understand which market you would sell in.
• Professional and employment information — your years of sales experience, your years of merchant services experience, any notes you write, and the contents of the resume and cover sheet you attach. Used to evaluate your suitability for the role.

Attached files may contain more personal information than we ask for, depending on what you put in them. Please do not include a Social Security number, date of birth, government ID number, or other sensitive personal information in your resume or cover sheet — we do not need any of it to evaluate you.

How we use it

We use what you submit for one purpose: to evaluate you for this independent sales agent role and to contact you about it. That includes reviewing your background, contacting you to schedule a conversation, and keeping a record of the application.

We do not use it to make automated decisions about you, and we do not use it for profiling.

Who sees it

Your submission is delivered by email to our internal recruiting team. The email is sent through Cloudflare, Inc., which processes it in transit as our service provider. It is not sent anywhere else.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

How long we keep it

We keep applications for up to 24 months so we can reconsider you if a suitable opening comes up, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, which since 1 January 2023 covers job applicants and independent contractors, not just customers.

To exercise any of them, email recruiting@residualfirst.com with the email address you applied from. We will respond within 45 days. We will ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will not charge you for it.

Advertising and analytics

We advertise this page on Google. If advertising and analytics tags are active on this site, the following applies:

• We use data collected on this site to advertise online, including to measure which ads led to an application and to show our ads to people who have visited this site.
• Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on sites across the internet.
• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on someone's past visits to this website.
• You can opt out of Google's personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors at aboutads.info. Your browser's Global Privacy Control signal is honoured as an opt-out request where applicable law requires it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and the form is transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is for people seeking professional sales work. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
